Sinoquipe Scout Reservation's LeBleu Pavilion is the lasting memorial to the late Gordon E. LeBleu of Rockville, Maryland, whose young life was tragically cut short by a lightning strike near the tent in which he and fellow Scouts had taken shelter from a storm at the Philmont Scout Ranch in 1974.
With over forty years of use by scouts the pavilion is showing its age. The LeBleu family, like they did over forty years ago, has recently noticed the need for Gordon's legacy to be renewed and a remodeled Pavilion constructed in his honor. Sitting at the same location as the original pavilion, this pavilion will allow for some more modern amenities for campers such as - list them - while continuing to keep Gordon's spirit alive.
On behalf of the council, the LeBleu family is graciously spearheading the effort to raise funds for this new pavilion. Please consider making an online donation to LeBleu's legacy and help keep his scouting spirit alive for future generations of Sinoquipe scouts to learn from.
Suggested minimum donation is $100. All donations welcome, and are tax deductable.
We would like to complete this Fund drive by June 1st, 2017
